Help
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an account to browse?
No. Flea’s public listings and Information Center can be viewed without signing in. An account is required to save an item, ask a question, make an offer, buy, sell, or message after a transaction unlocks.
What is the difference between a Table and a Booth?
A Table is designed for a personal seller listing a small number of items. A Booth is a paid business storefront with higher product capacity, store branding, buyer activity tools, and recurring inventory controls.
When can a buyer and seller message each other?
Messages unlock after Buy Now or after a seller accepts an offer. Keeping the conversation attached to the product preserves the listing and transaction context if support is needed.
How do card payments and pickup work?
Stripe processes eligible card payments. The buyer’s payment may be authorized or held while pickup is arranged. For a card-paid local pickup, the in-app QR handoff confirms that the exchange occurred before payout is released.
Can I cancel an offer?
Yes. A buyer can cancel an offer from My Offers any time before the completed handoff. Flea notifies the seller and releases an uncaptured card authorization when one exists. The buyer can archive the canceled item immediately; otherwise it leaves the active view after 72 hours.
How do I report a listing or seller?
Select the report flag in the corner of the product post, choose the reason, and add useful details. Flea attaches the product and seller information to the report automatically.
Buyer’s Guide
Start by reviewing every photo, the full description, condition, price, seller reviews, distance, and pickup details. Ask specific questions before making an offer. Use Buy Now when you are ready to commit, confirm the payment method, and keep scheduling inside Flea. Inspect the item before completing the handoff. Card-paid pickups use the Flea QR confirmation flow; cash pickups should be marked complete in the transaction. Save the receipt and leave a fair review based on the actual experience.
Seller’s Guide
Use clear, current photographs of the exact item being sold. Choose the closest available category, describe flaws and missing parts honestly, and set a realistic listing price and minimum offer. Respond to questions without moving the conversation off Flea. Once an offer is accepted or Buy Now is received, confirm the pickup request promptly. Do not sell the same item to another person after committing to a Flea buyer. Keep listings accurate, mark outside sales correctly, and complete the handoff so receipts, reviews, and inventory status stay reliable.
Payment Help
Flea uses Stripe for eligible card entry, payment authorization, connected seller accounts, refunds, and payouts. Flea does not store a card’s full number or security code in the marketplace interface. A card payment may appear as pending while the item is awaiting pickup or QR confirmation. Refund timing depends on the transaction status and the buyer’s bank. Sellers who accept card payments must finish Stripe onboarding before receiving payouts. Open the matching purchase record when contacting support so the order and payment reference can be included.
Safety
Safe Meetups
Choose a busy, well-lit public location during normal business hours. Tell someone where you are going, keep your phone charged, and avoid entering a stranger’s home or moving to a last-minute private location. Many police departments provide monitored exchange areas or permit marketplace meetups in a station parking lot; Flea supports and strongly recommends using those locations when available. Verify the item and agreed price before completing the transaction, and leave if the situation feels unsafe. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services rather than waiting for an in-app response.
Fraud Prevention
Keep offers, payment choices, pickup details, and messages inside Flea. Never share a password, sign-in code, card security code, banking password, or a QR code sent by someone outside the active Flea transaction. Be cautious of overpayments, requests to buy gift cards, unexpected payment links, fake support messages, pressure to release an item before payment and pickup are confirmed, or requests to refund money through another service. Flea staff will not ask for your password or verification code. Stop the transaction and report the account when payment or identity details do not match the listing flow.
Report a User
Every product post includes a report flag in its corner. Selecting it opens a private report form and automatically attaches the listing, product, and seller context for Flea’s review. Choose the closest reason and include factual details such as what happened, when it happened, and whether payment or a meetup was involved. Reports are not shown to the reported user. A report is not an emergency service; contact local authorities immediately when there is an active threat or danger.
Community
Community Guidelines
Flea works when buyers and sellers are truthful, respectful, and reliable. Listings must represent the actual product, its condition, ownership, price, and availability. Users may not harass, threaten, discriminate against, impersonate, pressure, or deceive another person; manipulate offers or reviews; send spam; create duplicate accounts to avoid restrictions; or interfere with another seller’s listings. Commitments matter: communicate promptly, arrive for agreed meetups, honor the confirmed pickup plan, and use the transaction controls when plans change. Flea may preserve listing, message, payment, device, and report information to investigate safety, fraud, marketplace integrity, or policy concerns.
Prohibited Items
Flea does not permit animals; illegal goods; stolen property; counterfeit, replica, or unauthorized branded goods; weapons, ammunition, explosives, fireworks, or other dangerous goods; recalled or unsafe products; controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, tobacco or nicotine products; alcohol; prescription medicines; human remains or body parts; pornography or sexual services; hate material; personal data; financial instruments; or any product whose sale requires a license or is restricted by local, state, or federal law. Listings that attempt to disguise a prohibited item, direct buyers off-platform, or evade category filters are also prohibited. Prohibited listings may be removed immediately, and accounts used to offer them may be suspended or permanently deleted without advance notice. Flea may also preserve evidence and cooperate with lawful requests when safety or illegal activity is involved.
Enforcement Questions and Appeals
To ask Flea to review a listing or account enforcement decision, open Contact, choose Listing issue or Account issue, and include the case, listing, or account reference plus a factual explanation. A support request does not pause a safety restriction while the review is pending.

Terms of Service
Acceptance and Eligibility
Flea is operated by All Wake Co, LLC. By accessing or using Flea, you agree to these Terms, the Community Guidelines, the Prohibited Items policy, the Privacy Policy, and all supplemental terms presented during a transaction or paid service. You represent that the information supplied through your account is accurate, that you are legally permitted to enter binding transactions, and that you will maintain the confidentiality of your credentials. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless you promptly notify Flea of unauthorized access.
You must be at least eighteen years old and legally capable of entering a binding agreement, or use Flea only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian where permitted. Account, identity, tax, payout, listing, and transaction information must be accurate and current.
User Content, Moderation, and License
You retain ownership of photographs, descriptions, messages, reviews, and other content you submit. You grant Flea a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, reproduce, format, display, distribute, and use that content solely to operate, secure, moderate, promote, and improve the marketplace. Flea provides filtering, reporting, and human-review mechanisms for user-generated content. A listing that matches a restricted-item signal may be held from public view pending internal review. Flea may remove content, restrict contact, preserve evidence, or suspend users when reasonably necessary to enforce policy, protect safety, investigate fraud, or comply with law.
Intellectual Property
You may list only goods and upload only content that you own or are authorized to sell or use. Counterfeit goods, unauthorized replicas, trademark misuse, and copyright infringement are prohibited. Rights holders may send a detailed infringement notice through Flea Support or to contact@letsflea.com, identifying the protected work, challenged listing, contact information, a good-faith statement, and a statement that the notice is accurate and authorized.
Marketplace Role
Flea provides marketplace discovery, listings, public questions, messaging, payment technology, and pickup coordination for transactions between independent buyers and sellers. Independent sellers—not Flea—own, describe, price, possess, and sell their products. Flea does not take title to seller merchandise and does not inspect, manufacture, own, possess, authenticate, warrant, or guarantee it. Each seller is responsible for product accuracy, legality, ownership, safety, condition, authenticity, required disclosures, taxes, fulfillment, and compliance with applicable law.
Cash Transactions
For Cash Pickup, payment occurs directly between the buyer and seller. Flea does not receive, hold, process, insure, trace, reverse, or refund cash. Product-condition and satisfaction disputes remain between buyer and seller. Flea may still investigate fraud, safety complaints, prohibited goods, harassment, or platform abuse, preserve relevant evidence, and suspend accounts or listings.
Buyer Due Diligence and Assumption of Risk
Buyers are responsible for reviewing photographs and descriptions, asking questions, evaluating seller information, and inspecting an item before an in-person handoff. For Flea Protected Pickup, the buyer must inspect before confirming pickup. Pickup or QR confirmation acknowledges receipt, acceptance of the inspected condition, and authorization for Flea to capture the previously authorized card total. Secondhand merchandise may contain wear, defects, missing parts, or conditions that are not apparent from photographs.
Transaction Disputes and Product Refunds
After an inspected pickup is confirmed, Flea does not offer a discretionary merchandise return program, satisfaction guarantee, buyer-remorse refund, or ordinary product refund. The independent seller remains responsible for product disputes and any voluntarily agreed resolution. Exceptions may apply to unauthorized transactions; duplicate or incorrect captures; Flea or payment-processing errors; a payment captured without completed pickup authorization; fraud; counterfeit, stolen, prohibited, recalled, or unsafe goods; material misrepresentation; applicable card-network disputes or chargebacks; seller-approved resolutions; and rights or remedies that applicable law does not permit these Terms to waive. Flea may investigate, preserve or provide transaction evidence, cancel or release an uncaptured authorization, facilitate a seller resolution, or process a required reversal or refund. Review is case-specific and does not promise reimbursement in every dispute.
Paid Flea Services
Flea Seller and Flea Business memberships are separate from merchandise sold by users. Before confirmation, Flea displays the selected plan’s price, monthly duration, fourteen-day trial when eligible, automatic-renewal terms, benefits, cancellation route, and Restore Purchases option. Flea Seller is $6.99 per month and Flea Business is $14.99 per month after any displayed eligible trial. Apple-billed subscription cancellation and refund requests are managed through Apple; Google Play-billed requests follow Google Play; and Stripe Billing subscriptions follow Flea’s applicable billing-support process. Flea Support may help identify the billing provider and correct management route. Canceling stops future renewal subject to the provider’s terms and does not automatically reverse a completed billing period. Deleting a Flea account does not automatically cancel a store-managed subscription.
Enforcement and Platform Availability
Flea may investigate activity; preserve listing, message, device, payment, and transaction records; remove content; delay or cancel transactions; limit features; withhold a payout where legally permitted; suspend an account; or permanently terminate access when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, address fraud or safety concerns, or comply with law. Users may not scrape Flea, interfere with security, automate abusive activity, manipulate reviews or offers, evade restrictions, impersonate another person, or use the platform to collect information about other users.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Flea provides the platform and related services without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or a particular transaction result. Flea is not responsible for the acts or omissions of buyers or sellers; item quality, legality, authenticity, safety, or condition; missed meetups or handoff delays; personal injury; property damage; or indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages arising from a user transaction. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Privacy Policy
Flea collects information you provide, including account and profile details, Table or Booth information, listings and photos, saved addresses, messages, public questions, offers, reviews, support and safety reports, payment and pickup selections, notification choices, and seller business information. Flea also processes approximate listing area and, only when you enable the feature, device location; device, browser, sign-in, notification-token, app-version, usage, inventory, moderation, fraud, and transaction records; and provider transaction or subscription references. Full card numbers and security codes are entered with the payment provider and are not stored in Flea’s marketplace interface.
This information is used to authenticate users; operate profiles, listings, discovery, messaging, payments, subscriptions, pickup, reviews, reporting, and account deletion; send requested or transactional notices; measure product engagement and allowances; diagnose operational errors; prevent abuse; investigate reports; improve Flea; and comply with legal obligations. Public profile and listing information is visible to marketplace users. Private message, payment, address, and transaction information is shared only with the relevant participants and service providers as needed, or with authorities when legally required.
Service Providers and Social Login
Flea uses service providers only as needed to operate the selected feature: Google Firebase for authentication, hosting, database, file storage, App Check, and push delivery; Google Maps for maps, geocoding, distance, and location features; Resend for account verification, requested password resets, and transactional account-activity email delivery; OpenAI for seller-requested image analysis; Stripe for card authorization, capture, connected seller accounts, transfers, disputes, reversals, refunds, subscription billing where offered, and payouts; Sentry for operational error and crash telemetry when configured; and Apple, Google, or Meta when a user chooses the corresponding sign-in or native subscription service. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices. Flea does not sell full card numbers, passwords, or social-login tokens or use social-login data for unrelated advertising without consent.
Retention, Security, and User Choices
Active account and listing information is retained while needed to provide Flea. The most recent thirty days of completed transactions appear by default, while older transactions remain available through paginated history. Completed transaction and Deal Room records are not automatically deleted on a thirty-day schedule. Payment records may be retained by Stripe and Flea for financial, tax, anti-fraud, chargeback, and legal obligations. Security logs and moderation evidence are retained only as reasonably necessary for safety, enforcement, and legal compliance. Flea uses HTTPS, Firebase Authentication, access-controlled Firestore and Storage rules, administrator claims, and provider-hosted payment entry; no online system can guarantee absolute security.
You may disable optional location and notifications, edit profile information, revoke a social login through the provider, request access or correction, object to or restrict certain processing where applicable, and request deletion. If precise location is declined, Flea offers ZIP Code entry. Applicable privacy rights may include access, correction, deletion, portability, and nondiscrimination. Requests may be submitted through the in-app support form or the contact below.
Children and International Processing
Flea is not directed to children under thirteen and does not knowingly collect their personal information. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where service providers operate, subject to contractual and legal safeguards where required.
Location sharing, notifications, saved addresses, and profile details can be managed from account settings where available. Some records may be retained after deletion when necessary for completed transactions, fraud prevention, disputes, safety investigations, legal compliance, or backups. Flea applies access controls and security safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their password, enable available multi-factor authentication, and report suspected account access promptly.
Account and Data Deletion
You may permanently delete your Flea account below or from Edit Profile on your personal profile. Flea shows two clear warnings and requires the exact email on the signed-in account before deletion. Before deleting, open Plan & Billing and use Manage Subscription: account deletion is not a reliable substitute for canceling a store-managed subscription. Apple subscriptions must be managed through Apple and Google Play subscriptions through Google Play; Stripe Billing subscriptions follow the Flea support route shown for that plan. Flea then removes or de-identifies account-linked authentication, profiles, listings, questions, conversations, offers, notifications, pickup codes, moderation records, and uploaded media, subject to completed-transaction, payment, tax, anti-fraud, safety, dispute, legal-hold, provider-retention, and backup requirements. If you used Facebook Login, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple, you may also revoke Flea in that provider’s account settings.
Payment Terms
Eligible card transactions are processed by Stripe and its connected-account services. By selecting card payment or enabling seller card acceptance, you authorize Flea and Stripe to collect information required to process the transaction, place or modify an authorization hold, capture approved funds, deduct disclosed fees, reverse or refund an eligible charge, verify a connected seller, and deliver eligible payouts. Stripe’s terms, privacy practices, identity-verification requirements, restricted-business rules, and banking timelines also apply.
Payment processing services for sellers on Flea are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Services Agreement. By accepting these Terms or enabling payment processing, a seller agrees to the applicable Stripe agreement, authorizes Flea to provide accurate business and transaction information to Stripe, and acknowledges that Stripe processes personal data under the Stripe Privacy Policy.
Stripe Connect Payment Structure
For Flea Protected Pickup, Flea submits the buyer’s card authorization and later capture to Stripe on Flea’s platform account. After the required pickup confirmation, Flea separately instructs Stripe to transfer the accepted item amount to an eligible seller’s connected account. The disclosed Flea Protected Pickup fee remains with Flea, and Stripe’s actual processing fee is recorded against the platform transaction under the current Connect configuration. The underlying merchandise sale remains between the independent buyer and seller. This payment flow does not make Flea the owner or seller of the merchandise and is not an unsupported statement about merchant-of-record status. Sellers must complete Stripe onboarding and required capabilities before receiving card proceeds.
Flea Protected Pickup Authorization and Capture
Before authorization, checkout displays the accepted item price, the Flea Protected Pickup fee, and the exact buyer total. The fee is 3.5% of the accepted item amount plus $0.30, rounded to the nearest cent. The buyer’s card is authorized before pickup and captured only after the required pickup confirmation or QR event. An authorization is a temporary hold, not a completed charge or seller payout. Before capture, a valid cancellation cancels or releases the authorization; that release is not a refund, and the buyer’s financial institution controls when the hold disappears. The buyer must inspect the item before confirming. Pickup or QR confirmation acknowledges receipt, accepts the inspected condition, and authorizes capture. Flea may delay a payout while reviewing suspected fraud, a chargeback, an incomplete handoff, incorrect payout information, a legal request, or a violation of these Terms.
Payment processing does not make Flea the seller of user-listed merchandise and does not create a general Flea product warranty or return obligation. Merchandise refund requests remain subject to the Transaction Disputes and Product Refunds section above. Cash is permitted only when the listing and transaction provide that option; Flea cannot reverse, trace, insure, or recover cash exchanged between users.
Users must not divert a Flea card transaction to an external payment link, wire transfer, gift card, cryptocurrency, or unrelated payment application. Off-platform payment requests may result in transaction cancellation, loss of platform records or protections, payout delay, account restriction, or permanent account removal. Taxes, bank charges, card-network assessments, and legally required reporting remain the responsibility of the party to whom they apply.
Pickup, Returns, Refunds, and Cancellation
Pickup: Buyers and sellers must use the approved time and Flea handoff controls. A seller’s private address is not released until the required transaction stage. The buyer must inspect before confirming pickup. Confirmation acknowledges receipt, accepts the inspected condition, and authorizes capture for Flea Protected Pickup. Returns: After inspected and confirmed pickup, Flea offers no general return program, satisfaction guarantee, buyer-remorse refund, or ordinary product refund. A seller may voluntarily agree to a resolution, and nonwaivable exceptions described above remain available.
Payment corrections: Flea may cancel or release an uncaptured authorization, preserve or provide evidence, facilitate a seller-approved resolution, or process a required reversal or refund for the exceptions described above. Flea does not promise reimbursement in every dispute. Cancellations: A buyer may cancel an offer-linked local pickup through My Offers before the completed handoff. Flea notifies the seller and cancels or releases an uncaptured card authorization when applicable. Cash cannot be reversed or refunded by Flea. Completed handoffs and captured transactions follow the dispute terms above.
Membership Terms
Free is $0 and does not invoke billing. Flea Seller is $6.99 per month and Flea Business is $14.99 per month; each paid plan includes a fourteen-day trial only when eligibility and that trial are displayed before confirmation. Unless canceled through the applicable provider before the renewal date, a paid plan automatically renews monthly at the displayed price. Checkout displays duration, price, trial status, automatic renewal, benefits, cancellation and management instructions, and Restore Purchases before acceptance. Apple-billed plans are managed in Apple Subscriptions, Google Play-billed plans in Google Play, and Stripe Billing plans through the applicable Flea billing-support route. Account deletion does not automatically cancel Apple or Google billing.
Provider and Developer Program Disclosures
Apple, Google, Meta, Stripe, Firebase, Resend, and OpenAI are independent service providers and are not sponsors of Flea. Use of their authentication, email-delivery, payment, hosting, or AI services is subject to their applicable terms. Flea provides equivalent account-access options where required, permits browsing without login where account features are unnecessary, offers in-app reporting and account-deletion initiation, and limits requested device permissions to the feature the user selects.
